The Persian is famous for being the aristocat of catdom. They come in a range of colours of up to 20 or 30 differences. They have a thick and luxurious coat, large eyes and a short but sturdy legged body. It is one of the most friendly, loyal and affectionate cat breeds around. They have said to have been the most popular cat breed since 1871!

The Main Coon was named in the mistaken belief that it was half racoon. The Coon as a long thick coat, and are very active, being originally bred to control rat populations on Main farms.

Exotic a.k.a Shorthaired Persian

Exotics are simply Persians with short hair. They have the same friendly yet dignified characteristics of the long haired Persian, but much easier to groom.

These were the royal cats of Siam, and were once regarded as sacred. They were the watch cats of the temples, it is said that their loud cries warned of the approach of the enemy. This devoted cat does have an unusual voice that almost sounds as if he’s talking to you! They are very quick witted and excellent jumpers and climbers. They are one of the most intelligent of cat breeds and are very mischievous, but are also known for being not the friendliest of breeds, and prefer to be a one on one pet.

Abyssinian

Although they can cost a bit more than most cats, the Abyssinian is still one of the most popular cats. The Aby is very people oriented, and always wants to be by your side and is very inquisitive. It would be very difficult to find a cat more loyal than the Abyssinian.

    i guess you should feed her at home. She is looking around only because her needs are not fulfilled at home
  • I have a issue here.. My Cat goes to my neighbours house and then drinks the milk and then comes back... Anything I can do to stop that?

    All cats are attitudinal in nature, and bring a sense of calm to those around them. This collection above is fantastic. My favorite is the Maine coon, because they are common in the area I live in. They really do look like a cross between the cat and a raccoon. Nice...

    I agree with Delia and Lenka that siamese cat is the cutest. A friend of mine used to have one, named "Elvis", and i must say that it was really impressive when he was sitting in front of a person who was visiting my friend and staring at them with his icy blue eyes.. it was really a strange feeling..maybe that's why Shaiff siad that siamese cats can be a bit scary ;)

    The Abyssinian cat is beautiful, the Main Coon is scary. i would be if it was near me, the Persian one is quite scary too, its eyes are very brighty,
