Antarctic Desert is biggest desert of the world. Antarctic is polar type of desert located in the Antarctic region of southern hemisphere. The 13,720,000 km2 (5,300,000 sq mi) area of Antarctic is covered by snow which is 98% of the continent while 280,000 km2 (100,000 sq mi) is uncovered which is 2% of total Antarctic continent. Antarctic is considered as one of the coldest place in the world. 21st July 1983 was the day when one of the coldest temperatures was recorded that was −89.2 °C. There is no permanent population on Antarctic. Scientist from different countries has their scientific research bases according to the 1959 Antarctic Treaty. Twelve countries signed that Treaty.

Arctic is second largest desert located on opposite of Antarctic region of the South Pole around the North Pole. Arctic region consist of vast ice-covered ocean surrounded by soil at or below the freezing point of water (0 °C or 32 °F). Arctic approximate area is 13,700,000 km². Coldest temperature recorded on Arctic is approximately −68 °C

Sahara is considered as 3rd largest desert while it is largest hot desert. It consists most of North Africa while it is surrounded by Atlantic Ocean from the west, the Atlas Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea from the north, the Red Sea and Egypt from the east, and the Sudan and the valley of the Niger River from the south. Gobi is Cold Winter type of desert located on north and northwest part of china, and of southern part of Mongolia. It’s area is Area 1,295,000 km2 (500,002 sq mi) while temperature in summers is approximately +50°C and in winter –40°C
