Fido (Abraham Lincoln)

Fido, one of the most favorites of Abraham Lincoln was born in 1855 in Springfield. He was a dog who loved to have attention and can spend hours in chasing its own tail. Fido remained with Lincoln till he got elected. After elections Fido was given to two neighbors of Lincoln. Fido was the only Dog owned by Lincoln ever.

Checkers (Nixon)

People say Checkers a cocker spaniel was responsible for saving Nixon’s political career in 1952. Nixon was accused of setting up a secret slush fund. He appeared on TV and said that only thing he received from his political associates in Checkers and he is not going to give it back even it’s a crime. His emotional attachment with Checkers had amazing effect on American public who cried with Nixon and he was elected as Vice President.

Charlie (John F Kenady)

Charlie a Welsh Terrier was one of the pets owned by America’s 35th president John F Kenady. Charlie was father of Butterfly, White Tips, Blackie and Streaker. Charlie remained with Kenady until he was assassinated.

Millie (Barbara and George H. W. Bush)

Millie is referred as most famous pet of white house history. This female belonged to Springer Spaniel breed and was born on December 1,1985. Millie was named for Mildred Caldwell Kerr, an old friend of Bushes. This amazing pet is author of Millie’s Book: As Dictated to Barbara Bush. Millie died of pneumonia in 1997 at age 12.
A dog park in Houston is also named after Millie.

Buddy (Clinton)

Buddy a male Labrador Retriever was born in September 1997 and was one of the pets of Bill Clinton. Budy lost its life in a road accident on January 2, 2002. Buddy is a central character in Rick Cleveland’s 2005 one-man show My Buddy Bill relating the writer’s fictional friendship with Bill Clinton, which began when both men discovered their common interest for dogs.

Current president of USA Barack Obama also owns a pet named Bo.
