    there is a terrible crime that the world has never know, or preffer forget: the sunk of  "The Wilhelm Gustloff", a civil german ship that was hit by a russian torpedo near the end of the second world war.

    The ship was destinated to transport german civil people wich was trying to be safe in his country sailing away from the russian forces that was near the polish border. There was about 8.000 civilian people (women, children, hurt soldiers) and 1.000 young military students, and all these people sunk with the ship when it was hit by the torpedo of an russian submarine ship. This criminal act costs 6 times the lost of lifes of "The Titanic", and the pro-US, pro-bolchevique and pro-international sionism historians had never write about this. What about the crimes of the US gangsters, british, russians, polish, etc. commited against the german civilians?

    1st: you wrote saddam, yes, he killed tousands, but why you not write USA itself on iraq war, about 2 million people died.

    What about the Bataan Death march where close to 20,000 Allied soldiers were killed. Beheading, throat-cutting, and shooting were common causes of death, in addition to death by bayonet, rape, disembowelment, rifle-butt beating, and deliberate starvation or dehydration on the week-long continual march in the tropical heat. Falling down or inability to continue moving was tantamount to a death sentence, as was any degree of protest.
    There have been many, many atrocities in wars. I don't think that the Gaza Crisis even merits a mention in the top 100!

    And for your question, yes I've spoken with many when I was in the Israeli army forces. They seemed to me like nice people, ordinary and I beleive that most of them want peace like Israeli do. I have no hatered for Palastiniens.

    The 'side effect' was padded with sad and cruel. Just to clarify - I am against war, Israel believes strongly in peace and both people want to live quietly side by side. Israel never wen't to a war that wasn't forced on it (including this one). But when war happens, yes people die - It's a fact. Wake up please.

    To the rest:
    I don't understand why people hurry to say that Isreal commited war crimes. It took us 8 years to act before entring the Gaza strip. 8 years of rockets falling down on Israeli civilians, who begged the Israel government to react. Israel didn't rush to attack back, but tried diplomatic roads first. All have failed. Israel asked for cease-fire, but was answered with even more rockets, which were becoming deadlier.
    Finally, after all has failed, Israel decided to stop holding back and attack the Hamas. The porpuse of the operation
    was to harm Hamas basis so they woild stop firing rockets on Israel. There was no intention to kill innocent civilians. On the contraray, Israel warned civilians about upcoming attacks so they will not stay in Hamas rocket launching areas (it's Hamas that place them in civilian areas intentionally).
    There was one goal for this operation - stopping Hamas from firing on us. The killing of innocnet people was by accident and didn't come from place of hate or coldness - such as other war crimes and massacre or medical experiments.

    @ Avi: Calling dead civilians a 'side effect' is pretty unfeeling. To think only someone who lives in Israel can understand that conflict is either naive or arrogant. An outside observer can often judge and understand things better than someone who is involved.
    Also interesting that jews only should be mentioned as victims, never as committer. If someone says jews committed war crimes in an article that also mentions the holocaust he is called insane. Aha.

    As I said, innocent people were killed, as in all wars. I am not justifing this, but this is not different than any other war aound the world. Those innocent people were not Israeli target and Israel didn't aim to harm innocent people. It is what it is - a sad and cruel side effect of the conflict. (By the way, innocent Israel people were killed as well by those Hamas rockets and by other Islamic terror acts like bombing Israeli buses and markets. Hoewever, no one mentioned it here)

    The point is that it shouldn't be on the 5 most barbaric war crimes in the history.

    Your 5th war crime - Gaza Crisis - shouldn't be there.
    Israel entered Gaza on 2008 because the Hamas kept firing rockets at israelis settlements bordering with Gaza.
    That situation lasted for nearly 8 years without any response from the Israel part. On 2008 Israel acted to stop those rockets.
    According to the Palestinians 1,300 innocent people were killed. According to Israel 1,100 were killed, out of which 800 are Hamas activists and other terrorists.

    Yes, its a fact, innocent people were killed, as in all wars, but there were no war crimes here and it should not side with a war crime as the holocust (are you insain???).
    Israel simply defended itself after all diplomatic efforts have failed. How would you feel if your house was constantly fired upon with missiles comming from Gaza strip?

    Please remove this from the list. It shouldn't be there.
    Here are some good examples of war crimes you can use:
    - Armanian genocide
    - Rwanda genocide

    It seems to me that whoever wrote this list, doesn't like Israel very much. And if that's not the case, please get you facts straight.
