As Mars is named on Roman God of War “Mars”, so many people believe that the Red color of mars is due to blood stained surface of Mars but in reality this is not the case, it is due to the red color caused by oxidation of the iron-rich minerals on the planet’s surface.

Many people think that face like shape on Mars is actually a huge monument left by an ancient civilization, but in reality this perception is entirely baseless, The Viking 1 and 2 orbiters took photographs of this area, and not surprisingly, no evidence of manufactured structures was found; according to scientists this feature is result of chance lighting conditions on a natural feature.

Italian astronomer Schiaparelli was first to note the canals in the early 1890s and other astronomers began to notice them as well, after him other scientists like Percival Lowell started believing in this myth ,that there is life on Mars after seeing canals on the surface of Mars, but till date there is no solid evidence about the existence of life on the Mars.

Most people think that Mars has no moons and they are only artificial sattelites,but infact ,Mars has two moons named Phobos and Deimos and they were discovered in 1877 by Asaph Hall.
Mars will be like full moon
This hoax news is making rounds on internet for many years that Mars could be seen on earth equal to the size of Moon in the year 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009 but it never happened as it was just a myth, it is true that Mars was very close to earth in 2003, but there was no possibility of Mars to be seen as the size of Moon and one more thing that event happened in 2003 only.
