Women are not as Horny as men

This is one of the most widely believed myths about women. But the recent research by Ohio State University seems to dismiss the concept that women are not as horny as men. According to the researchers, base of this misconceptions is the fact that women don’t want you to know that they are attracted to sex because of shyness and social issues.

“Women are sensitive to social expectations for their sexual behavior and may be less than totally honest when asked about their behavior in some survey conditions,” said Terri Fisher, co-author of the study and associate professor of psychology at Ohio State University’s Mansfield campus.In this study, the researchers asked men and women about their sexual attitudes and behaviors under several different testing conditions – including one in which the participants believed they were connected to a lie detector machine. Women’s answers were closer to men’s in some areas of sexual behavior when they thought lies could be detected. Men’s answers didn’t change as much as did women’s under different testing conditions. “Before the study, we thought men would generally over report their sexual behavior and women would under report it under certain testing conditions,” Fisher said. “However, we found that women were more likely than men to have different answers depending on conditions when they were surveyed.”

All Women are emotional creature ruled by Shopping and Chocolate

Yeah some of them ,some of the time are, but not true for all, at all the time. World has seen many women who are professionally as successful as men; world has seen Hazel Johnson,Oprah Winfrey, Martha Stewart, J.K. Rowling, and Madonna latest pop sensation lady Gaga etc.

Women are more relational and they care more , may be that’s why they are thought to be emotional and off course some women are addicted to shopping as many men are addicted to sports.

Research conducted by psychologist Anthony Greenwald and his colleagues at the Ohio State University tested 48 men and 48 women and found that ratio of remembering emotion loaded words better was almost equal.

Women are Only Victim of Domestic Violence

Most of the people still believe that only victims of domestic violence are women.An estimated 300,000-400,000 men per year are abused or treated violently in the United States by their spouse or girl friend.

The main reason behind this misconception is the fact that Men often suffer physical abuse in silence because they are afraid that no one will believe them or take them seriously. In fact, some men who do try to get help find that they are mocked and ridiculed. No one would even think of telling a battered woman that getting beaten by her husband wasn’t a big deal, but people often don’t think twice about saying that to a battered man. Many men are too embarrassed to admit that they are being abused.

Traditional gender roles confuse the matter. A “real man” is expected to be able to “control” his wife. Aside from the embarrassment over admitting abuse, abused men may feel that they are somehow less of a man for “allowing” themselves to be abused. But just like abused women are told when they suffer physical violence, abuse is never the victim’s fault. This is no less true just because the victim happens to be male.

Women are more faithful than men

Another commonly believed myth is that female gender is more faithful than men. This claim doesn’t hold any medical or physiological ground.According to surveys conducted by different organizations both men and women are equally unfaithful. Both genders cheat on their partners because of the reasons like insecurity, lack of character , lack of commitment, lack of understanding, and off course lack of sexual satisfaction.

I researched a lot to come up with an understandable reason behind this myth, only reason that’s makes sense is that; a century or two ago women were not as free or out going as they are now and people could hardly imagine a wife cheating on his husband.

Women are worst drivers

I can bet, every man on the face of planet earth believes that women are worst drivers.Well i have to admit that i am one of them .Stop abusing me ladies . But hey wait a second ,statistics have something else to say, 77% of male drivers are more likely to die behind the wheel then women.

But scientific research supports the myth for example Scientists from the University of Giessen, Germany, writing in the journal Intelligence found a lack of the hormones affects spatial ability.According to them, Spatial skills such as map reading and parking may be difficult for some women because they had too little testosterone in the womb.
