Do you think you are a good cook? Good enough to compete with the celebrated, mouth-watering, scrumptious and the most divine international cuisines. Even if you are not a cook, I am sure you would have wondered what is the secret behind their unique taste! I can’t claim to be a total foodie, but I carry those unusual taste buds, which are always after different tastes and recipes. And despite the fact, that I make no lofty claims to be a chef, or even a mediocre cook, I have often gone as far as finding out about how different dishes are made and what makes their taste so individual.
Perhaps that’s how I have discovered some TOP secrets behind some of the finest recipes in the world.

The Pizza Base Crust:

The following recipe produces a base for pizza which is soft and spongy on the inside and very evenly crispy on the outside. The base is the real secret to the best pizza; from Pizza Hut. The crust can be covered with numerous toppings to your taste.

Ingredients

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
Directions

Mix yeast and brown sugar in a big bowl and let it be for 8-10 minutes.
Add salt and oil in the yeast mixture, immediately after which add 2 ½ cups of flour.

Mix well and knead enough with (more) flour, as and if required. Then on a floured surface knead as much until the dough is not sticky anymore. Now put the dough in an already oiled large bowl and cover with a piece of cloth. The dough will double in size in an hour’s time.

Remove the dough from the bowl and thump it down, until firm and tight. Let the dough rest for a while before we roll it. This should be ready to be used for any pizza recipe now.
Oven should be preheated to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

*Extra tip: If you wish to bake the pizza on a pizza stone, then the toppings must be placed on the dough and baked straightaway, but if you have a pan then the rolled dough must be placed on the pan and left to rest and rise before you put toppings on it and baking it.

Bake pizza in preheated oven, until the cheese and crust are golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes.

The Kentucky Fried Chicken:

The magical secret following this divine taste of KFC is actually a combination of eleven different herbs mixed to maintain the special flavor you can find in none other.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon of dried rosemary leaves
1 tablespoon of dried wild marjoram leaves
1 tablespoon of powdered kitchen sage leaves
1 teaspoon of dried and powdered ginger
1 teaspoon of dried sweet marjoram leaves
1 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
3 tablespoons of brown sugar
3 tablespoons of dry and minced parsley leaves
1 teaspoon of pepper
1 tablespoon of paprika powder
2 tablespoons garlic salt
2 tablespoons onion salt
2 tablespoons powdered chicken soup cubes
1 package of tomato soup mix

Method

Put all the above mentioned ingredients into a grinder machine or blender and grind well to the finest possible touch. Then put the ground spices into a sealed container to keep them effective. This blend of spices is the real secret to the uniqueness of the KFC chicken. You must strictly note the specific proportion and how it should be used, so for perfect results, 30 grams of this mixture should be added to 100 grams of flour.

Further ingredients:

1 chicken, cut into required size for frying pieces
150 grams all purpose flour
50 grams of KFC secret spice
1 Pack of Tomato Soup
2 egg whites well beaten
160 milliliters of milk

Sufficient quantity of vegetable oil

Method

Add milk to egg whites and mix well. Then add the secret combination of spices to flour and soup mix and blend everything together evenly. Now you should have two large bowls, one with dry ingredients and the other with egg and milk mixture, separately. Now, one by one dip the chicken pieces to the eggs mixture as lavishly, then roll it in the flour mixture, and repeat this at least thrice in total.
Now the chicken pieces are ready to be fried on medium heat for at least 25 minutes, turning often or as required. It is advisable to cover the pan with a lid for better results and even color. Once you get the desired color remove and drain excess oil. Serve hot!

Starbucks Frozen Frappuccino:

3/4 cup double-strength coffee, cold

3 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 cup low-fat milk

2 cups ice

**caramel topping, 3 Tbs

whipped cream (as required)

Take 2 tablespoons full of ground coffee beans to prepare a cup of good strong coffee. Let it cool before using.
For the drink, combine all other ingredients (sugar, low fat milk, ice) in a blender and blend on high speed until smooth. Pour into glasses, add whipped cream to the top and serve with a straw.

CARAMEL Style:

To the above mentioned method, just add 3 tablespoons of caramel topping to the original recipe and mixed as done above. For an exact product add to the top whipped cream and drizzle additional caramel over it.

MOCHA Version:
This is also as simple as the caramel one, just add 3 tablespoons of Hershey’s chocolate syrup (easily available in the market) to the recipe and prepare as done above. This can also be topped with whipped cream preferred.

McDonald’s Scrumptious Apple Pie:

Ingredients:
2 skinless fresh green apples

1 cup of pure vegetable oil

½ teaspoon of freshly ground cinnamon

1/3 cup of pure cane sugar

2 cups of white all purpose baking flour

1/2 cup of vegetable shortening

1 teaspoon of course ground table salt

1/2 cup of bottled cold water

Once you have peeled and removed the core from the apples, chop them into small chunks. Now putting them on a medium pan, add cane sugar and ground cinnamon. Cook this on a medium heat until fruit is soft and mushy. We can mash up the apples for as required texture. Put this in a bowl and set it aside to cool.

In a separate bowl put the flour, ground table salt and add vegetable shortening to it, then slowly add the cold bottled water. Mix this all up to form creamy and even dough like batter. This is when we prepare the party shell. So, flour a clean surface and roll out the dough into an eighth inch thickness. Cut out four inch diameter shaped circles. Put in the center of each circle a large tablespoon of the apple syrup mixture, moisten the edges and fold them into place. The edges should be sealed by the help of a fork. Now fry these pies in hot pure vegetable oil. Heat should remain medium high heat. Remove the pies from the pan once golden brown.

Not so much… but the Secret METHOD

Cut potatoes in medium size finger, put them all in salted water and then boil them till half done. Let them in freezer. Once the oil is heated enough, deep fry them on high flame till crisp and done. Remove and serve with sauce of your choice…

SWEET N SOUR SAUCE:

tamarind juice 1/2 cup
ketchup 2tbsp
chili powder 1/2 tsp
sugar 3 tbsp
salt 1/2 tsp

Method: Put all these ingredients into a saucepan and cook them all together on medium heat till thick enough to form a saucy texture. Pour on the fries and serve hot.

GARLIC MAYO SAUCE

mayonnaise 4 tbsp
vinegar 1tsp
garlic paste 1/2 tsp

Mix all three ingredients into a bowl and pour on hot fries!

ASIAN TANGY MASALA

chaat masala 1tsp
tartar powder 1/2 tsp
chili powder 1/2 tsp

Mix all three ingredients into a bowl and pour of hot fries.

CHEESE SAUCE

cream cheese 3-4 tbsp
mayonnaise 3 tbsp
vinegar 1 tbsp

Mix all three ingredients into a bowl and pour of hot fries.
