Now when I say a basket, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a real basket. One could use a list of items as a basket/box/case. It is basically all about using your imagination and creativity in order to make even a simpler gift look great to eyes and doubling the happiness of the taker. So what we can do is, if you don’t actually have a basket, you could use large/medium (depending on the number of items) ladies hand bag, a huge mug/pot, a large picnic basket, baby bath tub, a cowboy hat, a laundry basket or a large cosmetic bag! Not bad eh? Now before I give you the ideas for the items to select, do remember to put scented candles, chocolates and flowers to go with either anyway. Here is the list of items you can select for a pampering or a spa basket – bubble bath, bath crystals, an exotic sponge, relaxation eye mask, massage creams, aroma therapy oils, various bath accessories, scented soaps, perfumed powder, perfume, a new set of towels, bath gown/slippers… and it won’t cost much if you could add a few sweets to sweeten your effort a little more.

Take her for a surprise outing/trip

If you give what can be taken, you are not really giving. Take what you are given, not what you want to be given. Give what cannot be taken.

It is always the best decision to take your wife out to either an exotic scene or an extravagant place for dinner once in a while. But when it comes to once a year occasions, it is most sensible to go to a distant place/location to spend some quality time with your partner. It shouldn’t be a problem to decide a place if your wife has shared her desire with you sometime ago. But even if she hasn’t, you could do it yourself by doing a little research. Make sure you know your budgets and are able to find the best travel agent. When reserving a place, you could ask the staff to keep it a secret until the right time. Do not forget to carry with you some of the most important things you and your partner could need like your partner’s carry-on bag, a travel box/bag which could contain extras like champagne, chocolates, picnic lunch etc.

You should be able to find ‘gold plated’ items as well. And for gold plated items, there are so many offers these days you will just have to spend time and think as to what she would prefer! As for real gold item suggestions, I admit there won’t be countless options. But for a start you could choose from – a ring, a light bracelet, a chain, a pendent or a chain and a pendent both, a broche, earrings, tops, a gold pen and even a gold case. A gold ring is a really nice option. You can make your mind up for a simple band or the one with stone. Remember – if it is gold, it should better be in your partner’s hold!
