Having good sex is important for most people. When the partner can’t satisfy their needs they sooner or later look for someone who does.

If the situation is not only the result of a temporary disability like illness for example, cheating might not be the right solution. Breaking up the relationship and looking for a partner that fits better might be the appropriate action.

When she/he is bored of the relationship

Every relationship is in danger of becoming boring after years. To keep the relationship interesting is important. If that fails one of the partners or both might look for someone else to get the exciting feeling back they once found in the relationship.

Using one’s fantasy, being open minded and trying to find out what the partner needs might keep the relationship lively, otherwise being cheated on is likely.

Some people need attention to compensate for their inferiority complex. The attention of a new sex partner is for them like a cure. One that has a short effective period, though. Soon they will need that kick again, and again.

They need either a very tolerant partner, or a good psychiatrist, or should think of staying single.

Being very attracted to somebody else

Being in love with someone usually makes people only have eyes for the partner. Being attracted to someone else can happen, though. An evening out, a good-looking stranger, a bit too much alcohol maybe and it happens, a one-night stand and you’ve cheated.

Only two questions remain in this situation: Does it stay a one-night stand, and do you tell your partner?

She/he thinks to have the right to do what she/he wants

Some people have the feeling that nobody should restrict their freedom. They also want the freedom to have sex with whomever they want to. Being in a relationship with someone doesn’t stop some people.

As a relationship is a flexible and private issue, they only have to find a partner who accepts that. If the partner doesn’t, the relationship will probably soon be over.
