Oscar Swahn was a Swedish shooter who took part in three Olympic events winning 7 medals including one silver, two bronze and three gold medals. He won gold medal in running deer shooting team at the age of 64. Oscar was also the oldest participant in summer Olympics of 1920.

That tree was sadly cut by a graduate student and U.S. Forest Service personnel for research purposes. They later came to know about age of that historical tree which is approximately 4862 to 5,000 years old.
